id say practice on skin from butchered meat then move to your friends and then you might be able to go to a parlor and show them some of your work and if they like it and need someone else they might call you
then again i have no clue how it works either
i started when i was 17….. im 19 now and im loving my job
))) go to a tattoo parler and ask them all the facts or sarc them online OR ask them on Yahoo Answers 
))im a pro at tatooing so you should get all the facts, save up, and get tattooin!
you do have to get a license! but you should look for an apprenticeship once your 18 with your nearest tattoo shop. it’s a long process.
a lot of people that i know said you dont have to go to school for it but its better for you to go to be more advanced.at my high school alot of people do there own tattooing with a regular sewing needle and some indian ink.or you can buy a electric needle gun but on you tube theres people that show you how to make yor own electric needle gun. you tube really helps when it comes to at home tattoooing.
